Dr. Pei-Yun Jenny Wu established her laboratory in 2012 at the Institute of Genetics and Development of Rennes.

Prior to coming to the IGDR, she was a post-doctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Paul Nurse at The Rockefeller University. Her work used the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe to understand the mechanisms that regulate DNA replication, in particular the establishment of the S phase origin firing program.

Before these studies, she earned her PhD in the laboratory of Dr. Fred Winston at Harvard University, where she investigated gene expression and chromatin structure in the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
